Integrated Field Development
HCS has deep technical expertise, capability and experience to assist clients with Integrated studies and development planning. Our sub-surface consulting team covers the complete range of geoscience and petroleum engineering disciplines. The team have previously been employed with oil & gas companies which brings the added benefit of integrated thinking a strong combination and an essential component in the development planning process.
Typically, HCS initially conducts a screening study of the HC field(s). The culmination of this work identifies, recommends and prioritizes potential target reservoirs for further study and possible development.
After the team conclusively identifies one or more potentially favorable candidates, it estimates future recoveries in a base case chosen by the client and prepares associated cash flows.
Our forecast scenario cases, which include optimal development plans, are presented on a summarized basis with detailed tables for individual wells available in an easily accessible digital/electronic format. Those forecast scenarios may include potential re-completion candidates, infill or extension drilling including vertical and/or horizontal wells, water injection or tertiary recovery and field facility/operating constraints.
Our field development plans also provide guidelines for proper development and implementation. HCS identifies field-development life cycles and recommends operational strategies to maximize rates of return and minimize over development. A major tool to guide field development planning is dynamic reservoir modelling.
We support our client’s projects from feasibility assessment, conceptual field development planning through to preparation of the basis of design document.
